The weather for this year has been odd to say the least. This area has received more snow that it has in years past. It has also received. I know that many others have also received this kind of odd weather as well. This kind of moisture reeks havoc on all kinds of homes. My old house is now probably shifting even more. The crack running through the center of the house is probably more pronounced. My STBX is probably cussing that house even more so. He has said on numerous occasions that the house needs to be demolished and rebuilt.
I am currently living in a well maintained apartment complex. I really like my apartment because it was the lowest priced in town plus it comes with a fireplace. I look forward to spending quiet nights with my daughters in front of that fireplace. I also need to learn to weatherproof my apartment so that my energy bill does not go through the roof. Many other places also have to deal with Waterproofing Basement Walls. I had several friends this past winter complain about water getting into their basements because of the massive amount of rainfall. I hope that I do not have to worry about that myself this year.
